Chickens & Eggs - they both come first!
We keep a small flock of chickens at WCF, primarily for egg production. While we have a few chickens of other breeds, our concentration is on the blue egg producing "Easter Egger" chickens (Ameraucana crosses) and French Black Copper Marans that lay dark brown, chocolate color eggs known for their richness. (They were James Bond's choice for his morning eggs!) We hope to be able to provide Marans and Oliver Egger eggs for hatching in the summer of 2017. If you are interested, please check back here or contact us then. Meet our chickens below, as well as their "watch geese."
