The Roof: All done!

Well, it took three weeks but the old roof is off and the new roof is on. The shakes are so new and so red! Along with the copper, it seems to fit right in with the fall landscape. If the weather permits, our job is to get up there and repaint the chimneys, since the new flashing is done a little more neatly this time (as opposed to 1990), but leaves some of the "stair step" effect from the last time around. The gutters are new on the stone side of the house, but all have been reattached differently so as not to nailed to the roof in any way.
